In order to keep our community, our guides, and our guests safe, we have suspended tour operations until April 15, 2020. At that time we will reassess the threat of COVID-19 and determine if an extended suspension of tours will be necessary.
Donnie Stockwell grew up in the great state of AZ. The son of an avid fisherman and hunter, he spent his summers getting lost on dirt roads and appreciating the outdoors. College brought him to the Pacific Northwest where he started his guiding career. He started by leading canoe, kayak and sailing tours throughout the Puget Sound mostly with troubled youth. The next few years brought him to live in Flagstaff, AZ, Summit County, CO, Glacier National Park, MT, and most recently Bend, OR. He spent these years coaching snowboarding (including to one Olympic Gold medalist), tending bar, serving as a sushi chef, but mostly maximizing free time to get out and explore the incredible landscapes offered throughout the American West. Donnie has a passion for the Earth and all the plants and animals living in it. On his time off you can find him gardening, backpacking, drinking a craft brew, or maybe playing his guitar at any of the local bars.
